Over time and with changing patterns of consumption, many products have become easier to access while others, such as lagoon fish or local seafood, have gradually disappeared from our daily lives.
It is possible to find some of these products at roadsides or local markets, but consumers are increasingly concerned about the quality of these products, their origins and the sustainability of the methods used to harvest them.
It is in this context that the company Ocean Products Tahiti launched its brand dedicated to the public, Le COMPTOIR de L’OCÉAN, which is located at the entrance to its factory on the embankment of Papeava in Papeete.
The Polynesian diet is based on fish as the primary source of protein.
